Millet

Millet is a tall grass that has been cultivated as food for at least 3,000 years.^[1] In many Western countries, it is grown at home as bird food, or by farmers for use as hay or animal feed. In the Eastern Hemisphere, it is often grown as cheap and accessible food for humans. It is fast-growing and hardy, and comes in an abundance of varieties.
