Australian Red Napier Grass (Pennisetum purpureum cross) are multi-cut hybrid green fodder grass, by using Animal Husbandry like Cow, Buffalo, Goat, Sheep, Pig, Poultry, Rabbi, it were classified as tall type, it adopt all the climatic conditions anywhere in India. Green fodder yield is 180-190 tons/acre/year, 50-55 tons/cutting depending upon the soil. Farmers can save huge money & good green fodder because of high Protein content (18.26%) and dry matter yield. इस घास में प्रोटीन 8-10 फीसदी, रेशा 30 फीसदी और कैल्सियम 0.5 फीसदी होता है. इसे दलहनी चारे के साथ मिलाकर पशुओं को खिलाना चाहिए. विशेषज्ञों के अनुसार नेपियर के घास को हरे चारे के तौर पर पशुओं को खिलाने से उनमें दूग्ध उत्पादन देने की क्षमता 10 से 15 प्रतिशत तक की वृद्धि होती है.
